WESTWOOD ONE AND FOXTOPUS INK PARTNER FOR PODCASTS

Wild Thing Joins the Westwood One Podcast Network

NEW YORK, NY – October 1, 2020 – CUMULUS MEDIA’s Westwood One and Foxtopus Ink today announce a partnership for Westwood One to distribute, market, and monetize Foxtopus’ existing and forthcoming podcasts. As part of the deal, popular science podcast Wild Thing moves to the Westwood One Podcast Network. An Apple Podcasts ‘New & Noteworthy,” Wild Thing is about the strange and unusual things that capture our imaginations. It’s about the relationship between science and society. It’s about wild places, wild people, and wild ideas.

Now in its second season, host Laura Krantz turns our collective gaze skyward. In Wild Thing: Space Invaders, Krantz examines the science, culture, and philosophy of a universe where we’re not alone-and why the idea of alien life has abducted our imaginations. She questions the likelihood of life on other planets, if aliens have already made the trip to visit us, why we want to find them, and what does it mean if we do. A new episode of Wild Thing: Space Invaders drops each Thursday and is available at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, TuneIn, Pocket Casts, and Google Podcasts, among other platforms.

In its premier season, Wild Thing investigated Bigfoot, introducing listeners to the true believers and the I-want-to-believers, while exploring why this creature ignites our imaginations, where that fascination comes from, and why it persists.
